Suggestion Therapy is the type of therapy that most people associate with Hypnosis. Most assume they will be hypnotised and various suggestions will be given to them which are aimed at relieving their symptoms.While this is in the most part correct, at Kettering Hypnotherapy I use suggestion therapy to deal with the problems which are probably best described as habit based.

It can help people overcome the fear and worry created by a driving test or job interview, as well as helping people lose weight.

Suggestion therapy uses hypnosis allowing us to reprogramme your mind in such a way as to change your behaviour pattern. Many of us could name a few behaviours we would rather be without or just tone down a bit; from lack of confidence and nervousness when put under pressure, to nail biting, over eating and smoking

Suggestion therapy can help to kick these habits for good or control the symptoms.

Suggestion is all around us, advertisers encourage us to buy their products buy demonstrating how our lives will be improved once we have bought it. We even suggest to ourselves (auto-suggestion).

How many times have you dreaded something happening, or made a bet with yourself that you would feel ill or tired and then it happened?  Suggestion can be a very powerful tool - particularly to create positive effects.

How long does suggestion therapy take?

Usually it would only take one session (lasting approx 1hr), but it would depend on the what we were using suggestion for. This would be discussed at your initial consultation.
